Приведены результаты исследования кернов льда в Альпах, на Кавказе, Тянь-Шане, Памире, Алтае, Камчатке, в Кунь-Луне, Гималаях, Тибете, Южной Америке и Африке. Рассмотрены климатические изменения в тропических и умеренных широтах в свете изучения ледниковых кернов.
Монография представляет интерес для гляциологов, климатологов, палеогеографов, а также студентов и преподавателей географических и геологических факультетов вузов.

Inner structure of glaciers in non-polar regions
The monograph describes theoretical bases of glacier inner structure studies, methods of ice core acquisition, processing and interpretation of ice-core data. Ice-core records from the Alps, Caucasus, Tien Shan, Pamirs, Altai, Kamchatka, Kunlun, Himalayas, Tibet, South America and Africa are presented. Climatic changes in the tropics and moderate latitudes are shown in the light of ice-core data. The monograph will be of interest to glaciologists, climatologists, paleogeographers, as well as to students and teachers of geographical and geological faculties of universities.
