Inside, you can see the works of V. Alfeevsky, V. Vatagin, L Vladimirsky, A. Deyneka, A. Kanevsky, F. Lemkul, T. Mavrina, M. Miturich, Y. Pimenov, I. Semenov, V. Suteev, L. Tokmakov, V. Chizhikov and many other well-known authors, who contributed to the establishment and development of Russian children's books in the XX century. They first demonstrated the individuality of Moscow children's books' illustrations, their diversity and comprehensibility. We've provided biographical information about the artists. Many of the illustrations in the album are reproductions of the authors' originals. The addendum holds additional information about publishing houses that printed children's books, a brief bibliography and a list of painters by name.
