Arthur Oman Doyle (1859 — 1930) was an English writer best known for his detective stories about Sherlock Holmes. «The Lost World» tells the story of a journalist Edward Malone who decides to join the dangerous but exciting expedition to a world populated by dinosaurs. The place unfolding before the heroes eyes is full of secrets, and these creatures are not the only danger on the way.
