Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 — 1930) was an English writer best known for his detective stories about Sherlock Holmes. «The Maracot Deep» is an amazing fantasy-fiction novel about Professor Maracot and his team of explorers discovering a sunken city of Atlantis. There, scientists are trying to study the culture and life of the inhabitants of the depths, incidentally encountering unimaginable dangers.
